David is grateful to be practicing massage therapy for over 18 years. Having graduated from the established Sutherland-Chan School & Teaching Clinic, David has built upon the solid foundation acquired there, with years of experience treating the public of all ages (5 years to 99 years old), all walks of life and all physical conditions. He has also expanded his techniques with several continuing education courses including Thai massage and hot stone massage, to name a few. David has been an entrepreneur and self employed individual for most of his working life. His experience in many fields, from music and arts to retail and aviation, has taught him essential organizational and problem solving skills. Combining this with his intuitive touch, David has provided relief to many clients from injuries, medical conditions and daily stresses, allowing his clients to improve their quality of life through pain reduction and general relaxation. David prides himself in customizing each treatment to what is needed by his clients. This includes adjusting the pressure (from light touch to deep tissue), techniques (including myofascial release, stretching, joint mobilizations etc.), focus (full body or targeted body part treatments) and ambience to make each treatment as enjoyable and effective as possible. |

Ceinwen is co-owner of Summit Massage Studio and has 15 years of experience as a Registered Massage Therapist and 22 years of experience as a professional dancer. She holds a BA with honours in dance and kinesiology from the University of Calgary and additional certification in acupuncture, therapeutic taping techniques, advanced myofascial work (including cupping massage), trigger point therapy, cranial and joint mobilizations, advanced stretching techniques, and intraoral massage. Both careers in massage therapy and dance have given her immense knowledge of the body, postural imbalances, and what’s needed to restore balance and rehabilitate from injury and pain. She has taken this knowledge and taught introduction to massage workshops for dancers and kinesiology students, as well as dance classes for students of all ages. Working with the different needs of each client, Ceinwen’s treatments range from intense deep tissue therapy or, if necessary, more relaxation focused to help each client deal with everyday stressors and to help promote the body’s own immune system and ability to heal itself. |

Jesica graduated from Sutherland-Chan School and Teaching Clinic 14 years ago. She is passionate about helping people relax as well as decreasing pain through manual therapy. She believes that relaxation plays a key role in the normal functions of our body, that are sometimes interfered by stress. In conjunction with the more traditional relaxation massage Jesica utilizes techniques such as myofascial releases, trigger point treatment, joint mobilization, CranioSacral Therapy, Thai massage, hot stones and Traditional Chinese Medicine Acupuncture. As an RMT, Jesica has experience providing pre and postnatal care, treating clients with cancer, multiple sclerosis, sports injuries and general pain and discomfort. Jesica considers herself a very malleable therapist. She is able to adapt to the individual needs of each client, from a relaxing, soothing, rhythmic massage to a more specific deep tissue treatment. |

Joshua Cait graduated from Sutherland-Chan in 2011. He has a love for fitness and rehabilitation, directing these skills towards helping his clients improve their posture and ease discomforts in their daily movements. Josh has experience in Eldoa, a fascial movement method designed to help decompress segments of the spine, and PNF (proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation – a technique that improves flexibility and range of motion through active engagement of the targeted muscle group). Josh creates treatment plans for the unique needs of each client, and uses a range of pressure and techniques. Some of these techniques include fascial work, joint mobilizations, deep tissue massage, and detailed self care guidance incorporating both strengthening and stretching exercises. * Josh’s clients can take advantage of his fitness expertise, and are encouraged to allot time during each session to practice therapeutic exercises to increase overall mobility. |
